Choosing a video compression level

Each compression level trades quality for space, and the app shows the estimated saving before you start.

Pick a level

• Keepsakes you'll watch on a TV — choose a lighter level to keep more detail.
• Clips you'll only watch on your phone — a stronger level saves much more space.
• Screen recordings and quick videos — the strongest level is usually fine.

Check before you delete

Play the compressed copy before you remove the original, just to be sure you're happy with it.
