How to free up storage on your iPhone
When your iPhone says storage is almost full, photos and videos are usually the biggest culprits. Start by seeing where the space goes, then clear the largest groups first.
See what's using your storage
- Open Settings › General › iPhone Storage.
- Wait for the bar to load, then look at which apps and categories take the most space.
- If Photos is near the top, a photo cleanup will free the most space.
Clear the biggest groups first
- Open Novaz Cleaner and allow access to your photo library.
- Let the scan finish, then open the folders with the most space next to them — usually large videos, similar photos and screenshots.
- Review each folder and delete what you don't need.
- Compress the big videos you want to keep.
- Empty Recently Deleted in the Photos app to get the space back right away.
FAQ
- Why didn't my free space go up after deleting photos?
- Deleted photos stay in the Recently Deleted album in Photos for up to 30 days. Empty it to free the space immediately.
